Contact: Delmarva Foundation Earns ISO 9001:2008 Certification Easton, MD, September 21, 2011 – Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care, Inc. became ISO 9001:2008 certified in August after successfully passing the audit of its quality management system (QMS) by STR-R Registrars. The ISO 9001:2008 standards are recognized internationally and used by service and manufacturing organizations to create a standardized QMS that is continuously evaluated to ensure it conforms to the principles of quality improvement and customer satisfaction. “Obtaining ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates to our customers–current and prospective–Delmarva Foundation’s focused commitment to quality within all levels of our organization. It also indicates what customers can expect when entrusting their business to us,” said Corporate Quality Officer Roxanne Rodgers, who led the company’s ISO application initiative. “It is a distinguishing differentiator that provides increased credibility within the marketplace.” “This certification validates Delmarva Foundation’s commitment to meeting the globally recognized International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements for the design and development of customized healthcare industry solutions for public and private stakeholders,” added Thomas Jackson, Delmarva Foundation CEO. “Delmarva Foundation’s overarching goal is to ingrain continuous improvement and innovative approaches within our QMS so that we constantly improve the quality, reliability, innovation, value and integrity of our products and services,” said Rodgers. “Each staff member is accountable for supporting and following our quality policies.
