Contact: Cynthia Steedman Earns Health Care Fraud Investigator Accreditation Easton, Maryland, October 2, 2007 –Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care, Inc. announced today that Cynthia Steedman, RN, BSN, Medical Claims Review Analyst, has been designated by the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA) as an Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI), the highest level of professional accomplishment within the health care anti-fraud field. As Medical Claims Review Analyst, Ms. Steedman is responsible for the overall protection of the Medicare Trust Fund through provider education, recoupment of funds, and referral of suspected fraud to the Special Investigation Unit. “Cindy is a real trail blazer. She is the first person to earn this distinction and this is going to represent real advancement in continuing Delmarva Foundation’s commitment to identifying healthcare fraud” commented Christian E. Established in 2002, AHFI is a unique professional designation granted by NHCAA to individuals who demonstrate unwavering dedication to fighting health care fraud.
