Hospital Public Reporting:
A Summit on Messages
and Communication Strategies
On May 26, 2004, Delmarva Foundation hosted a day-long, invitational meeting along with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) as part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Three-State Hospital Pilot project at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. The meeting’s intent was to promote sharing and discussion of ideas related to hospital public reporting messages and dissemination strategies to the public. More than 100 experts and leaders in hospital public reporting attended the meeting and engaged in in-depth discussions of the issues.
